Katie is a business consultant, entrepreneur, conference organizer, marketer and fundraising executive.

She currently spends most of her time as VP of Marketing & Strategic Alliances for Prieto Battery, Inc. but loves to conference organize around strategic issues. 

She has organized a dozen environmental conferences; including Aspen Climate Action Conference, Green Building Conferences (in Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Denver) and most recently staged three conferences focused solely on CLEAN and FIT policy adoption in Colorado.


Katie was also part of the team that won an $11M DOE grant awarded to the City of Fort Collins to demonstrate smart grid technology using renewable energy during peak demand.  This grant led to jump-starting a vision for the community with a zero energy district in downtown Fort Collins called FortZED. 


She has also consulted with DOE and sits on the Dean’s Advisory Board for CSU’s School of Engineering.

 


Katie's education includes a BA dual degree from Sweet Briar College, where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.  Katie earned an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird)


Katie is a 4th generation Coloradoan.
